As we get ready for our Oktoberfest Social & Travel Insights on October 15th at 3:30pm, I want to share something special with you — a look at Bavaria beyond Munich.
Most travelers know Munich’s Oktoberfest, but Bavaria is filled with smaller, authentic festivals where locals gather, music fills the air, and traditions feel wonderfully genuine. These towns are comfortable, walkable, scenic, and perfect for senior travelers who want culture without crowds.
Below are three of my favorite Bavarian destinations — each with its own festival, personality, and charm.
